Keep it looking brand new.
Congratulations on your new wrap! It protects your paint from sun damage and gives your car a custom look. Follow these steps to keep it in top condition.
The routine.
Your wrap is designed to be removable, so it needs a little more care than paint. These habits make a big difference.
Hand wash only
Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth or sponge with mild soapy water. Always rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
Low pressure, 24 inches back
If you use a pressure washer, keep it on a low setting and the nozzle at least 24 inches from the car. High pressure or close contact can lift or damage the edges.
Park in the shade
Use a garage, shaded spot or car cover when you can. Long exposure to sun and extreme weather can fade the wrap over time.
Wipe fuel spills right away
Gas can break down the wrap's adhesive if left too long. Wipe it off with a clean, damp, non-abrasive cloth and dry the area completely.
Hard no's.
No automatic car washes
Brushes, strong jets, heat and harsh chemicals in drive-through washes can damage vinyl.
No wax or polish
Wax can dull the finish and some solvents harm vinyl. Polishing can fade or scratch it.
